Give us a call or an email and share your date, guest count, location, occasion, theme, menu and whatever hopes and dreams you envision. We'll create a proposal based on that information and work together with you on revisions to create the ideal menu at the best price. An estimate from Spice of Life Catering will include three important costs: menu price based on a per person cost, a labor charge for the overall event and, finally, a rental fee for the equipment we inventory. Each category is detailed below:
Menu
Did you notice that we don't list prices on our menus? There is a really good reason! We've found that we can offer better prices if we take a client's complete menu and cost it out case by case. Cookie cutter menus take a worst-case-scenerio approach and leave you with limited choices.
The first thing we'll ask you for is a menu of items you'd like to offer your guests. You can make selections from our online menu, give us ideas from things you've tasted at other events or restaurants, or just list out your favorites... Don't worry if you are unsure about what you'd like to offer or are overwhelmed by the options facing you. We're happy to help you get started and will work with you until we get just what you are looking for. Getting started is the hardest part, but once you make some selections, the rest is easy!
Labor
Our estimates include a labor charge based on the number of staff required for your event. Spice of Life is a full service caterer and our staff will handle event set up, service and breakdown including trash removal. Our friendly, knowledgable staff have gained a reputation for versatile, flowing service and we accommodate our service to match your event.
Rentals
Once we've gotten a solid direction on the menu in the right price range for your budget, we'll provide an estimate for the rentals needed to pull the whole thing together. Getting the menu set first is essential as many of your rental needs are menu-based.
Spice of Life also inventories many of the items necessary for a fabulous event so that we can offer our clients an afforable option. We'll add the items we can offer to your invoice and as part of our service to you, Spice of Life will help you coordinate the rental of any additional or specialty items including tents. We're happy to walk you through the many options and details of planning your event.
