Read more...Matt and Maggie went above and beyond for Steve and me from our very first meeting/ tasting. They were incredibly knowledgeable, fun, creative, reliable, adaptive, enthusiastic, and accommodating to our needs every step of the way! They were always professional, yet casual, consistently proving their expertise with great ideas and suggestions. We had a couple of obstacles for our wedding - I, the bride, broke my tibia/fibula 3 weeks before the wedding and was in a cast/on crutches for the big day...AND we had a MAJOR wind and rain storm to contend with on the big day. Matt and Maggie were amazing to us throughout and helped to make these challenges minimal for us. Matt bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed, even going back to the site the night before to facilitate changing the setup and the layout of the tents due to the forecasted stormy weather!!! I can't say enough about how committed Spice of Life was to helping us have a beautiful and magical wedding day!! One of the most important steps in planning a smooth and logistically sound wedding is to choose a reliable, talented, and committed caterer. EVERYTHING else falls into place after that step. Spice of Life is that caterer!!

Read more...Matt & Maggie, You guys are truly amazing. Our wedding went off perfectly all thanks to you. With the threat of rain you had everything setup inside and out so we could make a last minute decision. We truly appreciate all of the little details that you tended to for us. You even packed us some food to go, so we could get a chance to truly enjoy the cuisine after we were done hosting. We had a lot of guests who consider themselves "foodies" and all of them took the time to compliment us on every dish that was served in taste and in presentation. The presentation was absolutely amazing. A country feel, but with a cosmopolitan elegance. The bar, the linens, the card holders on the tables and the buffett, the food.....the list goes on but everything was beautiful. The food was wonderful and it was highly complimented by the service your staff provided. Everyone was knowlegable and friendly. The best part was everyone was willing to go the flow when we had to alter our time frame due to the weather.

Read more...Our wedding was a huge success. A large portion of the credit for this goes to Spice of Life. Matt and Maggie acted not only as our caterer, but also as an event manager and general calming presence. Everytime we turned around they, or one of their staff were right there doing the right thing. They allowed us to really relax and enjoy our wedding, truly an outstanding experience.

Read more...Dear Matt and Maggie, Our wedding weekend was truly better than I had hoped it would be. The food was extraordinary, the presentation both artistic and charming and the service perfect every moment. You both clearly wanted us to be happy with everything you did and were willing to do anything -- including making changes in venue at the last minute as the weather changed. For instance we had hoped to have the pre-wedding brunch outside, but since the weather was cold and the clouds threathening you set up in the barn -- but 1/2 an hour before the event started you were gladly willing to move the set up outside as the clouds passed.
Our guests raved all weekend. We had some very particular friends with sophisticated palates from NYC and Houston and they said they had never ever eaten such delicious wedding food. The New Yorkers said your white fish salad was better than they'd had in New York!
You helped make the whole weekend a real pleasure.

I just wanted to convey our thanks for the extraordinary job you did for us last Friday on the Ticonderoga. The food and presentation was superb, and many people commented on the attentiveness, professionalism and friendliness of your staff. While the setting and the weather certainly played a huge part, your role in the event made the evening. Thanks for making this a night to remember for our son Jeremy and his new wife Sarah, and if we ever have need for a caterer in Vermont, you will certainly be first on our list!

Thank you for all of your help, hard work and dedication for our wedding at Windekind. You really made the planning process much less stressful for us. We received RAVES all evening on how fabulous the food was! I was so happy to see that despite the rain we were still able to have the s'mores!!!.
Thankfully we listened to your best advice and rented the abutting tent -or we would have had drenched food and unhappy servers! Thank you for your patience with us as we fumbled our way through the planning. We have not one complaint with the whole process and we are SO pleased with your service. Read more...We were giddy over our experience with Spice of Life. Planning an event from so far away (Ohio), choosing a caterer was a shot in the dark. I don't think we could have found a better one, had we spent tedious hours searching locally.
